ATREYU Seeks Cure For Boredom While On The Road

December 2, 2007

Buzznet.com has posted more video footage from ATREYU's "Tour Diary" series. The band documented its recent U.S. headline tour and the latest clip, entitled "Cure for Boredom", can be viewed below.

ATREYU's new album, "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", sold 43,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to debut at position No. 8 on The Billboard 200 chart.

ATREYU recorded "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" this past spring with producer John Feldmann who worked with the band to create their most infectious, ambitious and musically challenging disc yet. While the band's juxtaposition of hardcore-influenced chaos and rock-influenced melody is still present, the gulf between the two styles is diminished, making the passages flow in a smoother and more naturalistic manner. "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" was mixed by Andy Wallace (NIRVANA, SLIPKNOT, LINKIN PARK).
